Holiday Reception

A Holiday Reception was held on Sunday 8 December hosted at my home for US Congressman Daniel Lipinski.
We were very pleased to host the Congressman, his wife Judy and four of his staff members to include his Chief of Staff.
For almost two hours a large number of Templars were able to meet and informally speak with the Congressman and senior Congressional Staff. Allow me to again remind you that the Congressman is the Democratic Co-Chair of the Christians at Risk Caucus of the US House of Representatives. He has often welcomed Templars to his DC Office.
You will see the following Templars in photos: Dale & Stacey Starkes, Ron Bacci, former Tinley Park Mayor David Seaman, and myself. Others were in attendance at different times in the afternoon.
Rep. Lipinski is a senior Democratic on a number of Congressional Committees. He has served in Congress since 2005 when he replaced his father. He secured his BS in Political Science from Northwestern University, MA from Stanford and PhD from Duke. Before entering Congress he taught at Notre Dame and the University of Tennessee. This year he almost stopped to visit OSMTH at the Tomar meeting; he was on pilgrimage to Fatima with Catholic US elected officials. He was not sure how he might reach one of us at the GMC.
This is an update on the continuing effort of OSMTH to influence national and international leaders on behalf of Christians at Risk.
